Prakash Moorut is responsible for leading Shure’s regulatory efforts. Before coming to Shure, he spent 24 years in the mobile industry, most recently serving as head of Spectrum standardization for Nokia. Moorut is currently the chief regulatory officer of the WInnForum and was part of the U.S. delegation for the 2019 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) to update international spectrum regulatory treaties. He is also the chair of the 5G-Media Action Group Ecosystem and Regulation Working Group, bringing key stakeholders together to address the regulatory aspects for the potential use of 5G for media production and distribution. Moorut has several publications and patents related to spectrum usage and received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from “Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité” (SUPELEC) in Paris, France.
