John Dale III is currently the director, chief marketing officer for Media Links and has been since June 2020. He is responsible for marketing, product management, and business development for the global market.
Dale III has extensive experience with Media Links. Previously, Dale III was CEO and president of Media Links from June 2017 to June 2020 and his overall responsibility was for Media Links. Before that, Dale III was chief marketing officer for Media Global Links from June 2014 to June 2017. He oversaw marketing, product management, and business development for the global market. From January 2014 to June 2014, Dale III was director of product management for Media Links, responsible for product requirement and roadmap planning for the global market. Lastly, he was president of Media Links from March 2012 to January 2014, where he had responsibility for North America product marketing and technical support operations for Media Links’ video over IP products.
Dale III has been a board member of the Video Service Forum since 2003 and has chaired the JPEG Media over IP Activity group, producing several technical recommendations and receiving a Technical Emmy for the JPEG2000 work. In prior years, he was co-chair of the VSF High Bit Rate Video/Audio over IP Activity group, Professional Real Time Video/Audio Over IP Network Infrastructure Activity Group, and Pro-MPEG COP3 Interoperability Test Group.
Prior to joining Media Links, Dale III held a senior product manager position at the Access and Transport division of C-COR. He managed the product portfolio of the DV6000 product line, including its extensions and derivatives.
Before that, Dale III held the position of director at A. F. Associates, where he managed extensive television and radio systems integration projects with major accounts including ABC, NBC, CBS, USA Network, NPR, and Merrill Lynch.
Dale III holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in industrial engineering from the University of Dayton.
